The reduction of VAT from 23% to 6% in the construction sector could become a reality by March 2026. This information was given by Miguel Pinto Luz, Minister of Infrastructure and Housing, during a parliamentary hearing within the framework of the specialized discussion of the 2026 State Budget (OE2026). According to the minister, the measure now depends on the legislative process following the conclusion of the budgetary process.
